Charter Description
1. Type: Horde/Alliance? Will you be running LOP, LOLCATs, or both? Also, is this a Guild Based Charter? (Y/N) If so, please provide the Guild Name and the Guild Leader’s name. Vir Aeterna is a charter based around the guild Vir Aeterna. Our Guild Leader is Levielle. We will be running LOP raids. There is a possibility that we will run some LOLCATs raids, but not at this time. 2. Charter Background/Mission Statement: We are friendly and relaxed, but we down bosses. Vir Aeterna was founded in September of 2009, the leaders at the time Kaylah, and Kazzman founded the guild as an RP guild. Shortly after founding, it was apparent that both leaders love of raiding was too much, and we formed into a Casual PVE guild. It didn't take long for Vir Aeterna to become one of the more well-established raiding guilds on the server. Most consistent raiders not in the guild will tell you of our fun, relaxed, yet productive atmosphere. The years since then have been a learning experience for all, but we are proud of what we have accomplished. 3. Attitude and Personality 1. Be Courteous - and Kind. No Personal Attacks or Insults are allowed in our Mumble or Raid Chat - Some examples would be using references to homosexuality in a derogatory manner, or calling another any sort of name or insult. 2. Please have at least watched some 10man videos and/or read some strats (we recommend [url]http://www.icy-veins.com/)[/url] of whichever of our raids you are signed up for. Any of our leads are more than happy to explain, but only if you are willing to learn. 3. Addons: DBM (or similar) and positivity are a must. 4. Profanity is not welcome or permitted. Slotting Guidelines
1. Raid Makeup Describe your ideal raid makeup (by role). Include how you prefer to split groups or designate certain duties. (Example: 25-man: 4 tanks, 7 healers, 8 ranged dps, 6 melee dps) We will be running two 10-man raids and the makeup will be as follows: Tanks - 2 (1 with offspec) Healers - 3 (1 with offspec) Melee - 2/3 Ranged 2/3 2. Slotting a) Priority is given to members of the guild Vir Aeterna and regulars, next would be newcomers who have introduced themselves to the charter leads via PM or in-game followed by those who have good attendance on stand-by. Lastly, and situationally other sign-ups will be considered. b) Slotting is done Sunday afternoons/evenings, please make a note of this when checking back in. c) Please be in raid level appropriate gear. (This means no Black Temple gear in Ulduar, etc.) We provide flasks and feasts for our raids but any contribution towards those (i.e. fish, herbs, Life) would be appreciated, but not required. d) While we don't expect everyone to have access to the most expensive of enchants, we do expect anyone who signs up with our charter to be fully gemmed and enchanted. We expect this as a rule so that we know we will be getting the best performance possible out of all of our raiders. 3. Pre-Raid Contact If you are not a regular and you are signing up, please PM the leads with a short introduction and description of yourself. This will make great strides towards getting a slot. If we don't know you, chances are you won't be slotted or pulled in for standby. Top ^
Raid-time Information
1. Standby and raid start info a) Invites start at: Invites will go out 30 Minutes before Raids b) Standbys are pulled in at: Subs will be brought in 15 minutes before c) Standbys should check in by: Whisper to one of the Charter Leads assigned to the raid in the Raid Roster. d) Standbys will be notified by: Standbys that have checked in will be notified by whisper that all slots have been taken. 2. What in-game chat channels should raiders join for their raid designations? For some reason in the past we have had problems with people linking random things in raid chat and cluttering up rolls, explanations, etc. So please do not link achievements, pets, damage meters, etc. A proper place for this is VAMeters (Our Meters Channel - feel free to use during raids for damage meters) 3. What Voice Server/Channel should raiders join? Vir Aeterna uses Mumble. Download it here before the day of the raid to ensure that it is installed correctly. Mumble Info Ask a Lead in game. Top ^
Charter Discretion
Epic Equipment (BoP or BoE) that is not awarded via standard LOP bidding: BoE epic items are a wonderful way to gear up alts or make a little money on the side to help pay for those nasty repair bills, however some BoE epic drops are actually upgrades to those raiding on a given night. Therefore, if you are not planning on using a BoE epic drop on the toon you are raiding on when it drops, we would prefer you bidding only a "save" roll. Note also that BoEs not won in LOP bidding are used by the charter to buy consumables for the raid. BoP Items not won in the bidding process are DE'd and those mats are used for enchants on raider's gear as needed. Rare or lower equipment and Tradeskill Items: Loot threshold will be set to epic. Everything else goes to the person whose name is on the mob. Tradeskill items (skins, herbs, ore) held by the Charter for use by its members. Non-equipment Items: Vanity Items (Mounts, Pets, Tabards, etc), Patterns, Bags, or Bags o' Greed (ex.- Sartharion's Satchel of Spoils): Vanity Items: Standard LOP Loot Distribution Patterns: /roll among eligible crafters in the raid. If no crafters are in the raid, the pattern is kept by the charter and given to a charter crafter at a later time, or sold on the AH to provide for raiding consumables.
