Druid of the Swamp |
I've been trying to find updates to my oft-used add-ons; and I've found that I can no longer just type their name into Curse-gaming's search enging and find them. Is anyone else having the same trouble? Luckily I can count on you guys to have some decent links, but this seems to prevent my from finding new add-ons... -Crissa Cosmos - http://www.cosmosui.org/ Wardrobe - http://www.curse-gaming.com/mod.php?addid=3040 (Supported) Gatherer - http://www.curse-gaming.com/mod.php?addid=44 |

I recommend ItemRack over wardrobe.

Everyone does. But it does what I want it to and is smaller, so... Why change? Itemrack needs to have a quicker response time, actually put gear on me rather than take it off, and then maybe I'll consider it. -Crissa |

Odd. I, like Kav, have an instant change of clothes with ItemRack. The things I like about ItemRack better than Wardrobe is the GUI. Not only are my sets named, but they have icons. The set-design interface is much better. I also like the event handler. When I used Wardrobe, I had many times when it would not trigger an event-change when the even clearly happened. I've never had that problem with ItemRack; it's been 100% reliable. Also, ItemRack doesn't need a timing program, while Wardrobe does. --

The most current Wardrobe doesn't have a timing program dependency. However, having a dependency actually makes the code lighter, not heavier. And if I could use ItemRack's interface to change my clothes instead of just my outfits, I'd love it. But it doesn't. So I don't. Hence the not instantly. Besides, what does this have to do with the search function not working? :P -Crissa |

If you're using the advanced search, with the checkboxes... make sure that all the checkboxes are checked. Often certain critical ones are not.

Arch Druid (at least according to BA!) |
I find I'm usually best off browsing the sections by hand, so to speak, just because searching for say "Mana" will find "mana," "management," etc etc etc. | |

Well, searching for 'dbar' or 'druid bar' no longer works, and 'ct raid' or 'ct' or 'ctra no longer even finds any of the cts. It seems to be hitting on things in the main text and rating them as just as important or moreso than the name itself. -Crissa |

well, "dbar" never worked to find druid bar. If you do a search for "druid bar" it will list, in alphabetical order, every mod that has "druid" or "bar" in the description. So you'll have to go through about 3 pages of results with "bar" in the name before you get to the Ds. Best, if you know what kind of mod you're looking for, to just browse straight through to it from the top page. |
