I had read early on that his health would be increased by 40% and go to full and his damage would increase by 30%. I am not sure about the life sparks.

Working from memory when I looked at the previous normal hard mode XT-0002 the numbers looked like:

After hardmode was engaged total health of boss was 12.5 million. You also had to kill 25% of his origional health to spawn the heart and another 1 million for the heart or a total of 15.25 million health. Requirements w/ 3 healers 1 tank 6 dps were approx 4.5k dps + killing the lifesparks.

You need to do 1.25 million to expose the heart. The heart has 1.8 million health but takes double damage (so we'll put down .9 mil here), and then he returns to a full 7.5 million. For Deco alone, that's 9.65 million -- give or take some overkill. Each spark spawned has 60k health, and you'll probably get a dozen to a score of them. Expect another, oh, half-million in adds or so depending on Pummeler spawns.

Putting it at the worst numbers, 10 mil for Deco with another 2 mil for adds, 3333 DPS with six deepsers and three healers, or 2850 or so with seven deeps will get you by at the enrage timer. Given that the fight's pretty comfortable for tank-and-spank (only occasional movement from bombs, and very killable low-health adds) it's pretty easy to reach high potential DPS. The damage can be kind of scary during Tantrum especially with bombs and sparks going off -- that seems to be the challenge now moreso than making an incredibly harsh DPS check.
