I think Dulin even made his own icons - but I use the general ones that come with it. For my pally - I have the runic parenthesis - three times. Small in white, Medium in orange, and large in gold - they alert me if my seal, aura or blessing is down. Works great. And a "hey, Bacon is active - here is your countdown timer" - but I need to work on that one a bit more. :P For my warrior - I use little. Only a "Hey! HIT SLAM!" icon that pops up. Quin has a myriad of things that alert her if a cooldown is up, or if she needs to re-apply something. Honestly, I need to work with Quin's setup just a hair - I need to get used to not CLICKING spells. I think I'm getting some serious loss of DPS by clicking spells rather than pressing buttons for them :D I'm not sure if you can click both the "in group" and the "in raid" icon - but I would think "In group" would ALSO cover a raid group. You might wanna see. --

I have a big water drop effect in the upper mid of my screen if serpent is not up. Pulsing circles for LnL procs, one ring for just ES, A line flashing across the bottem of my screen in BA is off cd, and a big Kill shot symbol that covers my toon if KS is ready. Change the colors pending on instance/boss fight to make them more visable. Basicly if I stand in fire and cant see it... it's because i'm a idiot and not using stuff soon as they come off CD. Would post a screen shot but then my bars would give everybody something to lol over.

Regarding Power Auras, I just have it use the spell's own texture for my short cooldowns like Shadow, Explosive, Aimed, etc. Then I shrink them down to a manageable size, and position them in a line above my toon's head. The icon pops up when the ability is useable and disappears when it's on CD. Works well for me.

I am so Not l33t that i forgot that Fish are not bosses in Uldar 25 *cry* On a said note MM hunters will get some sweet sweet lovin'... now everyone is gonna be like me :( Well I was a MM hunter LONG before it was cool... no wait that is not true, I was a Mage back then... well I was a MM hunter when it was NOT cool in BC, oh ya, the other hunters were making fun of me, and I was chilling with the melee so much that I became an official member of the Melee Club. But look at me now. . . having to open a thread to help with my dps and rambling on because I am so ill that I can not fall asleep. When I read this at work tomorrow I bet it will be funny *hugs hunters and other hunter loving people* --

So I installed Power Aura's last night, but didn't seem to pop up or appear on my mini-map or do anything on screen. So the question is where is a good resource to find out how to set it up and activate it? TY :) --

Power Aura's once you learn it is nearly my favorite mod. Other things to consider are setting it up to track CD'd of your trinkets and of raid members. Setting it to use a timer (last tab on bottom) will tell you when they come back off. This is always very handy for pet management. If you play with it a lot and use a barmod which can go to 100% transparency, you can even have it use the spells normal texture for an icon, but have it show up when available mapped over the exact location of the button on screen. The effect is that it appears like your buttons themselves will manage their CD's by disappearing when not available. This is extremely good way to manage pet / macro based cool downs with abnormal CD's. |

I've had shi* for luck setting it up right (Power Auras) Might anyone be available to chat with me? The video, alas, to me was next to useless. Sure I could try to figure out how to set up a low mana notice, but other than that I'm like "Well how the hell do I set one specifically for Chim, or Steady/etc". So any help would be appreciated. Maybe via vent or somethang? --

I've been kinda MIA the last few weeks and won't be on much this week either - I'm dedicating most free time to studying for my black belt test. BUT, that said - I can try to leap on this afternoon, or perhaps a short time Sunday. If ya see me on, just whisper me and I'll hop on vent with ya! This sucker rocks way to much for you to miss out on the helpfulness of it. I might be on my Druid, Ataleena - so look out for her as well :D --

BRK did an article and video for wow.com back in Feb about Power Auras for hunters (granted he focused more on survival since that was his spec but it might give you some ideas). Hope that helps some! :) |

Dragon Claw Kung Fu, to be precise... but, seems you wont' have to worry that much. I took the test and didn't make it. I'm not happy with the results, the reason for my failure really doesn't make sense to me. Not "She did this wrong" but more of a "She have the right look on her face" Huh? I tested for 10 hours people, it was an effort not to pass out and die. :P You want me to make an angry face while I do it? *shrug* I've been at this for five years, I was very ... well angry, to have people tell me "we think you just didn't work hard enough." Please tell that to my knees the day after the test. I couldn't walk. They were both swelled the size of softballs and I had a bruise on my calf where I ruptured a blood vessel from repeated jump impact. I almost killed myself. What do you want, me to have a heart attack on the floor? This was made equally worse by the next class AFTER the test where one of these "graders" began to teach the sword form... wrong. As in, he got 1 of the first five moves correct. And I'm not talking he had a hand outta place. I mean he went from position 1 to 3 to 15 and somehow made up something weird and then kinda did something that looks like move five if your blind. He had NO fucking clue how the form went. He failed me - but I know the form and he doesn't. What. The. Fuck. I do believe you won't have to worry about black belt, Quin. Right now, I'm quite happy with my red one, and think that will be enough to satisfy me. With that said - I can raid on Tuesdays and Thursdays now ;) I'll wear the belt as a headband :D --
