Apparently its "easy". Spell steal bone armor off the trash--which absorbs an obscene amount of damage. Tank. When the one minute buff is about to drop have the next mage spell steal it off the first. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MEZKGBg6zjg&eurl=http://www.wowinsider.com/ |

The buff doesn't last for a minute unless Spellsteal increases its duration. It only lasts for about 20 seconds. Wouldn't using priests to MC just be a lot easier? Plus they mobs have a considerably higher buffer HP. You also don't need that many people actually healing if u have to use two of your healing priests. Your priests do need around 6% +hit to do the MCing though. I just took my old t6 and socketed w/new hit gems and grabbed the s.priest chest w/my extra badges to easily hit the cap.

Okay, so I went and watched the video. I didn't realize they were spell stealing the one from the horse. I'm pretty sure the timer is the same though but it seems he recasts it pretty quickly. Can anyone see the numbers? Like how much health the mage whose tanking has?

The buff from the trash absorbs damage. It's like a power word shield that absorbs 1.2million damage. The key though is to increase the mages mitigation as much as possible, ice armor, devo aura, blessing of sanctuary, etc in order to make sure Razuvious doesn't blow through the 1.2million to quickly. http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=55336 |

As the origional post pointed out it's important to put all the debuffs possible on Razuvious to limit the damage the mage is taking. 1.2 million may seem like a lot of damage to absorb, but Instructor Razuvious can put out a lot of damage on a cloth wearing mage. In short it's totally viable method and probably just about as hard as using the traditional method to utilize priest MC assuming a normal raid makeup. The reason why this method was "discovered" was a lack of skill on the priests in a particular raid and that raid's lack of other available healers. |
