Sounds like fun to me. :P Speaking of macros, I know I can't use two abilities with a single macro, but.... I have the Revenge glyph, for the free Heroic Strike after Revenge. Because HS is not on the GCD, can I add the HS on next swing as part of a macro, so that everytime I hit Revenge, it queues up HS? (or alternatively, queue up HS and use Revenge in a single keystroke). I assume that because the HS rage cost isn't expending until the swing timer ends, that the discounted HS cost from the glyph will still take place, even if the Revenge ability was hit after the HS ability. (assuming swing timer doesn't complete in the split second of macro execution) Does any of that make sense, what I'm asking? :) --

I don't think so Ten, basically because the in-game macro system will not allow two "hardware events" (I think that is the term they use) to be queued to one key-press. Or, in Quineese "If you have to press a button to make the ability work - you must press the button. No one button = two button presses." I MAY be wrong, but I don't think this would work with just one button press equaling Revenge+HS. Now, making something that you hit twice rapidly? THAT would work just fine (especially since the GCD will prevent you from using Revenge again). But, I'll check some of the macro forums :D EDIT: Wooo - I'm behind in my tanking macros.... give me a bit, cause there was a change to instant attacks I didn't know about... --

Okay - YES you can do this Ten. Certain abilities that are not on the global cooldown and are instants - are capable of having another ability right after them with no ill will. To Quote: "In general, you cannot cast more than one spell with a single click of a macro. Most spells and some items trigger the global cooldown (GCD) which keeps you from taking too many actions at once. Even if a spell fails to cast, if it would trigger the GCD, it prevents subsequent /casts in the macro from running." But hey - Revenge is instant, with no GCD. You are golden :) Now - here are the ones I've found: 1. #showtooltip Revenge /cast revenge /cast !heroic strike One Keypress - only problem, if you hit it and revenge isn't capable of being activated, it will queue up a HS anyway. 2. /castsequence reset=2 revenge, !heroic strike Using this, you use revenge when it is up only, and then you are able to activate the heroic strike. If you do not activate the heroic strike within 2 seconds, the macro will go back to revenge. Kinda cool. But I'd play with it a bit to make sure it works properly. I'll dig around and see what else I can find us :D http://www.mmo-champion.com/index.php?topic=18673.0 is a great place to start! --

I don't see why not, I used a macro for my mage that would implement IV, AP, trinket and POM frostbolt all at once in the right order.

That was pretty much what I was basing my logic off of, was mage trinket macros. Awesome, thanks guys! will test this out tonight/tomorrow --

this is it for a winner! |
Heroic Strike is off the GCD. It's on Next Melee, so it only shares with Cleave. | |

OK, so to bump this again re: the Revenge/HS macro. Was playing last night, and noticed that my Revenge was not always queuing up the rageless Heroic Strike. I think it's looking for the ragecost before the server procs the Revenge glyph. There's no way to build a delay, is tghere, i have to double tap it? --

I've read others have seen the same problem as you, if they are in a rage starved condition. They usually go with the following: requires two presses... /castsequence reset=5 Revenge; !Heroic Strike That will cast Revenge on first press. Second press it'll cast HS. However, if you don't press it within 5 seconds of using it for Revenge, it will not cast HS, it'll reset to Revenge. 5 is the cooldown on Revenge, so their shouldn't be a worry of it timing wrong for what you wanna cast. --
