My guild is considering creating a charter with Leftovers come Wrath...just curious if the LO Council has an estimated date when new charters will be accepted again?

Honestly, we're working on a new form right now. It needs a bit of spit and polish, as well as a Mock Completed Form to help people understand how to fill it out a bit better. We do hope to have it completed at least a few weeks before Wrath comes out, if not sooner.

And, because a few folks have asked "What happens to the current charters?" I'll answer that as well real quick :D

The plan is thus:

1. We put up the new Charter Application Form
2. Everyone must fill out this application if they intend to keep their charter, or create a new one.
3. After a reasonable amount of time, any old charter that has not filled out the application - will be retired. Now, we haven't decided what "reasonable amount of time" is yet - but we will give people AMPLE warning before it has run out ;)

Why make everyone "re-app?" First reason is, some groups don't really want to come back. Some, do desire to retire. Second reason? There are a lot of questions on the new form, that are not on the old - that are present to help raiders out. Included are sections outlining expectations of standbys, what TS/VENT info you use, channels expected of raiders, slotting proceedures and a mission statement of your charter. Also, some charters might want to change up - go to a 10 man charter, move to a 25 man charter, ect. This allows for changes to be made, the new form to be used for every charter - and lets us clean house at the same time :)

Addendum:

Has it been decided if there will be a points wipe when Wrath comes out? Or will the database create a separation between TBC and Wrath points? This is a concern upon the part of our guild in creating a charter - that someone who's raiding currently and racking up points to spend in their first Wrath raid...

So we should likely spend what points we have, yes? I believe you kept the Olde World points for people to spend on Olde World instances (I could be wrong!) so I'm assuming the same would be done?

I don't suspect many people will be hitting the BC instances or spending points on anything but vanity gear. *shrugs* I would like to get my t5 or t6 for Moon since they're the best looking sets in the game :P Those I would go back for!

Anyway... yeah... so what's going to happen to old points? :)

Excellent and just so for my sake let me ensure I understand - I raid Wrath instance A and get points only usable in Wrath raid loot. I raid in TBC instance B and get points only usable in TBC raid loot? Or even, are Wrath raid points only usable in Wrath instances and to purchase Wrath raid loot one must use only Wrath raid points? Sorry to make it sound more difficult than it is but I just wish to be clear.

I would assume that it's Wrath for Wrath just as it's Olde World for Olde World / BC for BC currently. That is... if I'm not mistaken :P But I do believe people still have points for Olde World stuff.

No the old world point were retired any points you see listed were earned after BC was released.

EDIT: they are floating about in the data base, but not in any use at present.
