HALP! Raid Framage anyone?

Hey! I've been using Xperl for a few months now and was loving it until recently.

It seems lately my settings are saving over from one toon to the next. Meaning, when I'm on as my healer, my DPSer's settings are live. I have to "re-tune" my healer settings. The opposite is true... when I switch over to my DPSer, all my healing settings are set and I have to change everything back for DPS.

It's really starting to frustrate me because I have one box here clicked and one box there... everything is very fine-tuned and I'm starting to get confused which box I had clicked for which toon :P

* Can anyone tell me if they've had the same issue and how or if they fixed it?

* Can someone suggest another raid frame?

* * It would need to have range-checks, buff checks, and hot checks. :D

* * It should not cover my entire screen :P

* * It would be nice if it had separate settings for raid/party.

Thanks!

Not sure if this helps or not but you can save profiles for each toon. I've had the wrong setup load at times but I just go into the profiles tab (i think) and click on the toon name and it reloads the proper setup.

Yeah, I tried this and it didn't work. If i'm on Tribalmoon and click on Tribalmoon's profile, it has the "save" and "load" buttons grayed out so I can't click them. :/

Thanks though!

That blows, I know there is a way to make this work. Unfortunately I am away from home w/o access to WoW, which really sucks! Anyway, good luck man.

I use sraidframes.. works pretty well for most of your criteria. Others are fond of grid.

I *hear* SRF are nice but when I installed it I had bad BWL flashbacks and quickly uninstalled it :P

I may give it another go after the Ativan kicks in. :P

Thanks for the input everyone :)

i use pitbull for all my frames. If you're willing to put the time into configuring all the options, i think it has some of the best options.

another option is to use grid, but i know lots who either love it or hate it

I don't use X-Perl myself, but what it *sounds* like is that all your characters are referencing the default profile and per-character profiles that used to exist no longer do.

Try going in, selecting the character name profile, make changes, then go back and see if the Save or Load buttons light up.

Another vote for PitBull. I haven't used XPerl but I think they are a lot alike. A little bit of a learning curve but very customizable.

I think you're absolutely right.

I did go in and try fiddling with the settings and various profiles and I was good for an hour or so.

What I did was remove the savedvariables folder and then went back and reset everyone. As soon as I hit my second healer's settings things started messing up. It seems that some of the options are "global" and if I have two or more healers/DPSers things start messing up.

I'm going to try Pitbull, now. Thanks folks!

remember that with most ace addons (putbull is in this group) each character can have his/her own settings, but you have to remember to set it up for each character, then import settings from another source.
