I am probably going to put a decent amount of time leveling my DK, either along side or ahead of Ery to catch him up. All depends on what happens in the guild :) I will probably play enough to leave the leveling masses behind and get a good enough feel for the class to see if I want to switch to two mains, Ery will never sit on the sidelines ;)

Cheers,
E

Having played them on Beta, they are really fun in terms of interactivity (you are always hitting different buttons, (no more warlock SMASH SHADOWBOLT LOLOL) however, now that their damage is getting nerfed a bit and they announced that *NONE* (Yes, none) of the group/raid buffs that death knights have are planned to stack with current ones makes me sad. (Abomination's Might doesn't stack with Unleashed Rage, Imp Icy Talons doesn't stack with WF or Wrath of Air, Ebon Plaguebringer doesn't stack with Curse of Elements)

I have a giant post on the beta forums that went up to about 10 pages, but got no where as the blue who answers there doesn't know much about raiding >.<. However, just a warning that if they continue that path, DKs will be nothing but gimic magic tanks. So don't get your hopes up....yet. Maybe soon they will see the light and change it. But the class as a whole needs a ton of work before its up with the others.

Myself, I might make a DK main if they make them raid viable, otherwise, I think I'm going back to my shaman, as good old elemental.

well i was really interested until i got into reading about the beta reports and stuff and granted they look like alot of fun but i dunno. Ill prolly play one just to finish the starting story line and stuff..may get it to 70 to get my undead gryph mount...

but i also bet dahlily 50 gold that my druid would be my main. She screen shotted the bet...so if i win 50 gold to me!

*has a nasty sensation that the odds are stacked against him*

my dks name is a toss up between mendo...and mendoalt >.>

I think it is clear that you are going for a 'mendo alt' pronunciation, but that's going to read like 'men dolt' to most people. >_>

While I enjoy my shaman immensely, I may very well take over playing a death knight. I have faith that they'll provide an excellent little tank, and from what I've seen in the beta, once a few bugs get cleaned out and they fix some of the stacking issues, they should be good to go.

Plus healing DKs would do nothing but drive me insane.

More and more I'm considering it. I love my warrior mind you, but I've been playing him for 4 years. I don't want to give up tanking though, so... this isn't looking too bad.

If I like it, and I can find a good place for him among groups and such, then its possible. I'm thinking about it.

I plan on rolling one to 80 to tank, I dps'd before tbc, healed/dps'd in tbc so the only aspect I've missed is the tank role. :)

I predict leveling to 65, maxing inscription before boring and returning to rockin' it like a paladin.

DK is fun. I am leveling one in beta when the lag monster is going strong. I can't test out my premade mage when its so laggy. Tends to get me killed. As far as the dk right now, its pretty easy to kill things and take alot of damage. Was fighting three mobs at once and they were barely hitting me. I am not sure they are ready for the big influx of death knights. I was on one quests that I was sitting at it for about half an hour. I finally logged off and did it later when it wasn't so laggy.

Actually, the entire point of this change is to allow 10 man progression with almost unlimited class combinations. In 25 mans you're going to see a lot of identical raid buffs going around, but for 10 mans it greatly frees up the classes you bring and what they can bring to the raid. Don't have a shaman handy? I have a DK with imp IT. No Warlock or DK? It's cool, the boomkin brings Earth and Moon, same as a malediction lock or unholy DK would bring. Hell, you could bring a lock anyways and let them cast a damage curse! =O

Yes, their damage output was significantly decreased in the last beta push, but this to me indicates that blizz is starting to get serious about DPS balancing. Seems to me like it's easier to take a class down in damage and retool abilities up than it is to try and figure out every possible way of using talent combos to be OP and trying to balance around that.

TL,DR: My feral druid will probably end up being a kitty DPSer and I might still keep playing my lock, but DK's sound like a lot of fun and it just might be my first 80.
