Hey Soul, Uhm the Runes will make level 60 frost resist gear plate pieces. Are you sure you do not want to make the iceguard ? http://thottbot.com/?s=iceguard Ps my blacksmith, Searlowan can make all of the iceguard pieces. |

You will in general find that lvl 69/70 green items of frost resistance are equal or often superior to the lvl 60 crafted epics. Although the former won't have agility they will have higher stamina and/or resist ratings. Compare the following: Polar Bracers vs Dragonhawk Bands of Frost Protection +32 Stamina, +21 Frost Resistance Comparable, yes, but the former will require some rare materials (like frozen runes) to craft and the latter will likely cost you a few gold at the AH. Also, keep in mind that feral druids have a relatively easy time staying uncrittable while in resist gear, since they only need an additional 2.6% reduced crit chance with 3/3 Survival of the Fittest. |

Many druids build resist sets for Hydross for off tanking the adds, aiming at nature and frost resist between 125-150 before paw and flask. This is because the availability of crafted plate resist gear is much much higher. That and ferals are good on snap aggro for the adds. I run an OT set of like 130 each and I think I still have a bunch of AH greens in a vault somewhere available. |

For my frost suit I just use 2 pvp pieces and earthwarden to get crit immunity, and fill out all the other slots with frost resist greens from the AH....they come with a healthy amount of stam in addition to the resist and with the feral AP from your weapon, threat generation isn't too much trouble. Only issue I've had is I can't quite reach the cap yet, but with pally aura I still sit at around 335 or so which has seemed to be fine so far... If you manage to find enough frozen runes to build the naxx gear, I can craft all the leather pieces, but I believe they'll also give you less hp, which could be a problem for the one hit in a hundred that doesn't have anything resisted. -Az |
