my crit keeps sinkin' oh me oh my what am I to do using Cheeky's fer me upgrade guide and none of my upgrades is givin' me enough crit i sunk to 27 today :( if the ideal is 30+crit and 2100+ ap why is cheekys pointing me to more ap over crit? grrr oh well the damage is tight and I just got my felspine so I am happy |

If you are using Cheeky's, make certain you have your talents set correctly. High Crit is dependent upon build, for me - I don't worry about getting better than 29-30. I'm Marks for goodness sakes ;) But, sometimes, Crit isn't better in the eyes of massive AP. Balance is the key. --

Yeh my balance seems a bit wiggly atm only stuff i have to boost me crit directly will take away from my hit, I've even been using hit food to account for the loss. and my talents are generally 41/20/0 fer raiding although i gimped a point in the beast tree this time due to rushing can anyone see where? O.O |

41/20 your only crit proc is GftT, right? If you don't need crits procing stuff, then I saw screw it and welcome the steady damage. I'm in a major love/hate relationship with my current crit build. The lack of consistency does keep things interesting, though. :D --

Grats on the felspine! - bastard thing won't drop for us.. gg sunwell epix. ----------- i can't tell what pet you're using (because crit really only matters with a Windserpent - so if you're not using one, you can also skip point A), but a few things i'd change/upgrade/sidegrade-type thing a) take a point out of endurance traning, and put it into Bestial Discipline b) Get the bracers from supremus instead of the ones from rage (yes i know the sucket is cool and all, but really they're better. or if you have the chance, leather bracers from gorefiend are slicker than snail shit) c)cloak from gorefiend --------- you have now realized the crappy part about the felspine, and Blizzard's infinite wisdom with hunter tier 6 quality gear. THERE"S NO F*CKING HIT RATING in all honesty, it's really not worth using the felspine, until you have other haste gear that can bring your weapon speed down to about 1.6. Reason being is that some of the better haste gear also has hit and/or crit on it. --

Nice, Raf you win, yeh that was the point I screwed up on, yay for respeccing 5 mins after raid started. I have a wind serpent but yeh waiting until the 30-35 crit sweet spot until I use him, atm only hit that when I am lucky enough for a feral. Just got Gorefiend last week so I'll keep an eye out for 'em, also saw some leather bracers in Hyjal with a heap of crit on 'em, so we'll see what falls my way first (think they were off rage too but ferget). Hoping to get the neck of Supremus as well, but still gotta Cheeky it to see if it's an upgrade. Thanks about the Felspine, it's the 9th one that Sabre's trash runs have picked up. Won against a ret pally and another hunter with a 46 :), probably my 10th run in there and first time personally seeing it drop. Now I'm hopin' to get one of the LW patterns they are freaking awesome! edit: and yeah about the hit rating ugh I even got meself a +30 hit scope to deal with the lack, I forget for sure but i think the LW patterns in sunwell for mail/leather chests have abotu 30 hit on 'em. |

Other haste gears I have been collecting to the side have so far been pretty heavy downgrades stats wise. I do need to spend some time with Cheeky's to double check my setup. With felspine > Blade of Harbringers I'm only losing .9% crit, and that's not including what BoK will give me (extra 9.7 agi with felspine). On Cheeky's when I checked SF vs BoH it was I think about a 15 dps upgrade with my current setup of gears, I'm gonna go fool around with it a bit though. |
