Ready for Winter |
The sadder I am. It just seems like nothing interesting is happening for me. And this has been the class that I've played most consistantly as my main and have killed nearly everything with... But, blech. What do you guys think of what they've put up so far? --

I'm pretty happy with it for the most part.

And that it's still going to be only really combat swords for raiding. That's... less than interesting anymore. They said they were going to do something about choice, and I just don't see it other than for pvp. --

They said they were going to do something about making all three trees pvp viable. They have gone on record saying they are fine having one tree be the pve tree. I fail to see them doing anything other than exactly what they said they would do. That said, Mutilate will be competitive with the cooldown on sword spec procs. --

AP Tank Lead - Dwarven Bomb Squad |
I don't know, for subtlety PvE I'm looking at taking Teiras down this path: http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?talent=f0eboeLoir0VMcZGcV0bVzV Chain ambushes plus cheap backstabs along with group based combo point generation has some serious potential methinks. --

Personally I've felt in their effort to make each class more diverse, they have made some classes more useless.... In my opinion the rogues primary role was the ability to do an insane amount of damage in a short burst... now it appears that a well specced druid can hold their own against us with little effort and they have plenty to offer a group to boot... The only thing I foresee in the future for rogues is the push we are currently seeing... PvP Though I do admit to really getting excited about finally being able to sap anything with a brain! --

Well, there goes PvP, now - sap will be useless there! =D Personally, I'm reserving all judgment until it gets closer to release. They're going to nerf and buff so many things over the next two or three months, it won't look anything like what we're previewing. (at least, probably not) --

I'm just hoping for some improvements before wrath goes out. Rogues have always been at about the bottom of the food chain as far as raid utility goes, our only advantage is insane dmg and no mana to run out of... Looking at wrath the only real upgrades to the class are pvp focused, in short other DPS classes will have no problem matching or exceeding our DPS. At that point why bring a rogue on raids? Especially if you're at progression level. It's hard to say without gettin in the game and playing with the talents/gear, but needless to say, the future doesn't look bright. *gets back to work leveling his druid* |

Dunno, I was in BC alpha/beta and the talents didn't really change significantly from when they were introduced (at least for rogues).
