'Early' and 'tentative' are good words to describe them. Interesting change in mechanics, I appreciate the change to how much mana spells use. Being ret, a % is possibly better than a set amount, but that depends on the % exactly. Still waiting for talents, and the -real- changes. --

The not so serious paladin |
I'm going to have to mull over some of this while I'm at work. Some of it looks good. Some of it basically made me scratch my head and go "wtf?". That salv change is...interesting. It was the first thing that jumped out at me. I'm guessing like blessings it wouldn't stack with more than one paladin. Will make us more interactive in raids however. Ret pallys becoming a CC class made me chuckle.;) More later while I think about it.

I wonder if improved lay on hands will change? By making this a 20 minute cool down will the armor bonus still be there. Combine that with what looks like a very useful imp devo aura and we are looking at some serious armor buffage. --

(5 Ranks It is satisfying to see Blizz embracing the fact that holy pallys generally stand at a distance to enhance survivability and still found a way to make that role a bit more interactive. That's a base 16% chance to crit on Holy light without any bonus from int or gear. Then quite a few +dmg/healing talents, judgement bonuses, improved auras... Yeah, the idea of a HOT paladin interests/amuses me greatly. --

Seems likely that HoP will be instant cast as all the other Hands are. Keeping Judgement of the Pure up seems to be normal, much like keeping Light's Grace up. Looks like prot's mana concerns aren't quite solved, but at least they have some talents to help. Once again, though, it seems 71 points aren't enough to get everything a tank would want. |
