I've just learned thru tailoring Pattern: Mantle of Nimble Thought (177 Armor/+37 Sta/+26 Int/Imp spell haste rating 38%/ Incr dmg/healing spells by up to 44) and am interested in buying 2 Hearts of Darkness, but don't want to get ripped off by the AH. If anyone has 2 I may purchase at a reasonable price, please let me know.

I don't want to talk to you no more, you empty headed animal food trough wiper. I fart in your general direction. Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries. More DPS than your raid combined! |
I wish you luck finding HoDs. I thought they were affordable on the AH, but it's been a while since I last saw. Mantle of Nimble Thought binds when created, so you can only create it for yourself. |

O.o |
Given that it generally takes 25 people 1 hour to get 2-3 hearts (excluding hooker farming) , and you can make 100g/hr from dailies... the market value should be around 800-1200g? How much are they at the moment? |

Hearts are extremely valuable because they are required to make high end shadow resistance gear. And unless your entire raid force (except tanks) has 340+ shadow resistance, you will not beat Mother Shahraz. On the other hand, if your raid force gathers several hundred and makes the resistance gear, her most effective attacks become ineffective and she becomes easy to beat. Consequently every raid group out there hoards hearts for this reason, until the entire raid group is covered in SR gear. One side effect of this is that within the raid group itself is huge pent up demand for hearts, consequently they will use dozens of hearts internally before they start selling them on the AH. Note: Any raiding guild, alliance, or other raid group that grants precedence to individuals over the larger group for hearts has made a fatal mistake. I am aware on at least one server (Silvermoon) personally where the #1 raid guild failed to hoard hearts and was passed by the #2 guild. Between personal demand and shadow resistance gear, a core group of 35-40 total raiders will consume over 300 hearts just for resistance gear and probably another 75-100 hearts for personal usage after resistance gear is made. Given drop rates, hearts therefore do not even appear in the AH until these other demands are mostly met and consequently the price tends to stay high. If you can find hearts for less than 500 gold you are probably doing pretty well. --

Makes the rockin' world go round |
These are on my AH watch list, and typically sell for anywhere from 450 to 600 gold. It's not too hard to get them for 500g or less if you check often. Considering everything said above, this certainly seems like a reasonable price. | |
