So thoughts on how hunters could actually use this? I am thinking that I could switch between a Utility SV build and a more Personal DPS orientated build but thats about it. Current mechanics would make it hard to effectively switch between say SV and BM not to mention the difference in gear you are looking at. Cheers, E --

taking current specs into account: PvE: 41/20/0 PvP: 0/43/18 im sure the design on it is for a pve and pvp spec, though im sure people will find other uses for it. --

True enough, being able to switch between PVP/PVE would be great. I can see it helping Tanking warriors and pallies ALOT. I know my resto druid is going to love it seeing as I love playing Boomchicken when I can :) Hoping that they make it easy enough to switch and not too convoluted :( Cheers, E --

26 Hunters = Dead Onyxia |
Heck a pure survival hunter could swap between raid-utility (ignoring all the trapping abilities in favor of just getting to EW/MT, then putting the rest into BM/MM) and solo/5-man utility (much heavier SV build w/trapping abilities for CC).

For DPS classes like us this is meh... but for hybrid classes like druids and paladins this is a godsend. In other words, this wasn't intended for us and any use we find for it probably was not planned.

No hunter talents up yet unfortunately, expect those not to come out for a long while if even before Wrath is launched. There was a blue post somewhere and has been linked in multiple forums including the Warrior one. Cheers, E --

I would disagree that this isn't intended to be a boon to all classes, however, I agree that it will see the most benefit with the hybrids (warriors, druids, paladins, shamans, priests). However, for mages, rogues, hunters, and warlocks, it allows you to either switch between encounter dependent specs, so you can optimize your DPS for certain fights, or allow you to have a generic PvE spec in addition to a PvP spec (specs I know are drastically different for rogues and warlocks, at least, and no doubt mages and hunters as well). I mean, if I had a nickel for every time I heard a hunter complain about how he has to keep his pet out of the fight (which is a considerable percentage of a beastmaster hunters DPS, no?), I'd be a rich man. This has considerable benefits for non-hybrids. :) EDIT: Also, for the gear changing thing, this would just make it universal to carry around multiple sets of gear. Hybrids already carry around at least two sets, as they can perform other roles without respeccing (and are often expected to). --

I already give up one bag slot for ammo, Kav. If I give up another bag for gear, I'm going to cry :(

Clearly we need to get you a spiffy new toy so you can kiss that ammo bag goodbye....until you pick up a lvl 80 green weapon with better stats of course ^_~ |

I would just settle for a run through SSC where we kill a mob that has gear I want, or a Hyjal run *snif* T5 loot would be nice ;)

YOU'RE RUNNING OUT OF TIME FRUIT VENDOR! |
One of the things that was mentioned a long while back as a potential feature for Wrath - I think it was at the last BlizzCon in fact - was that they're adding an ItemRack-type function to the base UI, and there was a teasing hint that they might be giving us uniform bag space to hold different sets of armor along with it. | |
