Ready for Winter |
Heh I can see what it says. quote: Originally posted by Beta Hunter Boards: This appears to be a tooltip bug listing the talent point prerequisite for the final tier of talents as being 20 points when it is actually only 12. The pet talent trees appear to work on 3 talent points per level, so the tier 5 pet talents are reachable with only 13 talent points. So the BM tree just means that you'll be able to have the tree almost entirely maxxed out. edit: In the same thread, a check on the mechanics of Wolverine bite. quote: Originally posted by Sean: Wolverine Bite: I went and talented up my Wind Serpent so she'd have it. Well... it doesn't suck. When I checked it out in my pet's spell book, it read 355 damage. So yeah, the 5 damage in the talent tree window is just for it being absolutely unmodified by anything. I'm going to be dying to see how the crocolisk ability works. And of course quote:
Originally posted by Koraa (blue): We're still working on implementing this particular talent. The talent will allow you to train a different "class" of pets which we're calling "exotic" right now. Only hunters with this talent will be able to train those pets. They won't necessarily be "stronger" (though will all have unique abilities that you can only get from exotic pets), the extra power you should get from the talent will be from the additional pet skill points (pet talent points). Devilsaur anyone? --
Ghostcrawler: "Rogue talents are hard because the class is ultimately very mathy." Ghostcrawler is secretly Barbie? |

Yeah, I finally got it to pull up as well. But, it does disturb me that no Blue has chimed in on it yet. Yet, it seems weird as snot that nobody but BM can reach the three top talents - and they can get all three. Just doesn't sound right, really. --

I'd argue that a BM spec with that talent can bring out the best from his pet and thus that would be why the Tier 5 talents for pets are only for BMs. :D But yeah, I think the 51 pt Hunter talent is merely going to be 5 extra pet points (which is nice, but not worth being 51 pts) and taming exotic pets (ditto)...unless...taming a Devilsaur becomes a possibility. /shivers Oh man...I love Hobbes and all...but...a Devilsaur...in Arena matches. :P |

YOU'RE RUNNING OUT OF TIME FRUIT VENDOR! |
They can't get all three if that's not just a tooltip bug. You need 20 points just to get the top tier, and that means you can only pick one. It brings up some interesting choices, certainly, and I'm not so sure it's a tooltip bug. |

Erm, I don't think the intent is to get all 3...BM hunters with the 51 pt talent can only choose 1 of the Tier 5. As it probably should be. 'Least, it feels right to me honestly. I'm wondering if we'll see some select Hunter BM spells get removed? Ferocious Inspiration stacked with the pet roar? That'd be a tad bit OP I think... |
