With Wrath coming upon us I was wondering what the hunters in here were thinking for their Pet talents. WoWhead has a pet calculator to play with. My hunter has a cat that I want to use in a dps role but still kinda be viable for tanking purposes (OT in 5 mans mostly). What's your thoughts on this and how would you set up their talents? And, if possible use the calculator to link the talents you'd suggest. :D Thanks!

Still pondering over pet talents, will probably have one of each pet (tanking, DPS, Utility). Very interesting thing to note is that ONLY BM hunters can access the final tier of pet talents with their 51pt talent. Cheers, E --

Cheers, E Yeah, that came as quite a shock when I went to go play with pet talents, because without the 20-point requirement on top-tier, it's possible to get all three with 21 points. DPS pet is definitely going to be a Wolf, but I haven't decided which of the top talents I'm going to take. Tank'll probably be a Scorpid. Not sure if I'll go with a utilipet, as they seem a bit more like a PvP sort of thing. --

I'm so divided on what I'd want the third one to be though. Probably an owl or a nether ray. Though if the tallstrider one works on bosses... that would be very cool. --

That doesn't seem to be the case - early reports are that Wowhead's calculator is incorrect, not that BM is required for the final Tier. A link was up on on the WoW forums that discussed it, apparently - but the server has been wonky all day.
