The voting thread has more or less settled on Wiccana. If you have a character on Wiccana please let us know your class so we can roll the appropriate types there. --

If you like, shoot me (Nykka/Nykilla/Rwnaella) or Felada (Felada/Mydget) or Thol (Leuthil/Owyn) or Hyp (Aineas) a tell in game and we can invite you to Sword of Damocles. Have a few of us LOrs there and would love to have more :-) All the classes are excellent...and I fully support playing what you enjoy above anything else. *grins* However, if a class list is desired: Assassin: 46 PoM: 25 Necro: 24 I don't have a tanking class - but Leuthil is a guardian as is Aineas. Owyn is an Assassin. Not sure what Fel's classes are. And there are others in the guild - not sure their classes. To give you an idea - almost all classes get a knockback. I did the first grouped instance (Sanctum) with zero healers, zero tanks, 4 rangers, a barbarian and my assassin. Knockback rotation ftw. It won't last to endgame, and healers /are/ needed. I'm just saying - this game has lots of room for flexibility - roll what you want, and then juggle things creatively until they work. *chuckles* --

I just picked up the game today. I'll probably come check y'all out on Wiccana. I just need to come up with a name similar to the name Hyp chose, but spelled slightly differently, and a completely different class... just to confuse everyone. *cackles maniacally*

Eh I might roll a healer since there seems to be a decent amount of warrior classes. DPS I'm sure will never be a problem.;) Also Kre my take on the game has been the same. Did a few group quest over in Cornall valley (or however it's spelled) as well. Though for those we really did need a healer. The adds just pile on you and those giants can hurt. Did some quest in there with 2 groups. First group had one healer and me as a tank and did well. Went in later to finish up some quest with a group that had 3 healers...lol the whole place was a joke. Healers are very OP right now in the game. I'm sure that'll change. Also someone might wanta think of a conquerer. Their ability to in combat rezz party members is insane. Donno what the cooldown on it is but it's not very long I don't think. --

I made a Priest of Mithra named Bleucheese. It annoys me that they don't have a way to add player notes, so that we could figure out who people are in the AoC guild :) |

Once I get the game, I am rolling either a Herald of Xotli, a Tempest of Set, or Dark Templar. Leaning toward Herald or Tempest though.

Okay. |
I heard they nerfed conquerors' res ability, but I'll probably be trying one out eventually anyway. | |

quote: Originally posted by Catteeka: I heard they nerfed conquerors' res ability, but I'll probably be trying one out eventually anyway. Did they? Well I'm not surprised. It was very OP. I'm actually thinking of a bear shaman. I donno why. I suppose I like to torment myself. They are so underpowered compared to the other two healers that they are rare as hell. I do know we would need more than just PoMs as healers. The way big heals work on there is they apply a debuff to the party that keeps another from landing till it goes away. So a ToS/BS and a PoM would be alot better in a party than just two PoMs for example because each healer class has a big heal that puts it's on specific debuff on the party. So if you had all three you could rotate big heals. Unless of course they change that.*shrug* I imagine sooner or later that might even become a necessity in higher in raiding. Or at least it wouldn't surprise me if it was. --

I don't know...while I haven't played the other healer classes, my Bear did make it 39. Healy specced too. The hardest part of bear was 11 to 14 or so. 15 you get a big heal, makes all the difference. Then I leveled Gut prot (well the first points went into Fury, for crits, and then arms for parry, but by 35 I had more points in prot than the other trees). And I leveled to 70 without dropping raid prot spec. So I may be more tolerant of character power. I will take on 3 on 1 of my level or even +1s. +2s you can chain kill. Heck I did the sewers the first time at 33 and that had nothing but 35 mobs. Just don't feel like re-rolling one right away. Or seeing the same 20-35 content again. Tortage is bad enough. --

I'll be picking up the game this weekend. Thinking either a necromancer or a healer. I need to do a bit of research before I settle on one. Any words of advice for someone just starting out? --
