Uninterruptible missiles is convenient for lower levels if you don't feel like doing frostbolt kiting.

For me, I leveled as PoM pyro, but then I switched to frost for MC/BWL raiding and now I'm 2/48/11 for pve. However, any build should work for leveling, it just depends on your playstyle. |

My question is this....is arcane better to level a mage than say, fire or frost? Currently I have a 27 frost mage and am finding it quite difficult to level her. Any thoughts/suggestions are appreciated.

I don't want to talk to you no more, you empty headed animal food trough wiper. I fart in your general direction. Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries. Due to the intense mana consumption of Arcane I'd not recommend it for a leveling mage. Frost is probably the most efficient of the lot, fire at least more explosive. Arcane comes into play after you have the gear to support it better.

I think there may be something to note. The extra mana cost for arcane is only for certain Arcane spells. The extra Intellect, Spell damage and Spell crit can be very useful when leveling if you aren't constantly spamming arcane missiles. And can be helpful also because while leveling you will tend to come across mobs that immune to one type on damage.

Any thoughts/suggestions are appreciated. Why is it difficult? If you are getting hit alot, frost offers much better control than any other spec. If you are dying for another reason frost might not be the solution. Keep in mind, mages regardless of spec, at low levels (< 40) are tough. You dont have the class "punch" yet and you are still wearing cloth. At 27, you only have 17 points in talent which isnt really deep enugh for any spec to "shine". |
