In an effort to help out the LO community with progression, we have put together a how-to for ZA. This is by no means the only way to do things, its just what works best for us. We will cover how to get to and kill the bosses in the quickest fashion in order to complete the time trails. Group makeup 2 Tanks - We always run with one Pally tank and either a Feral Druid or Prot warrior. Feral Druids make a great OT as they can do insane DPS during the fights that you don't need two tanks for. 3 Healers - Usually have at least 1 Resto Shaman, chain heal really makes the later fights alot easier. 5 DPS - Usually 3 Magic (Mage, Mage, Lock) and 2 Physical (Hunter, whatever we can find) Atleast one mage is very handy cause you don't have really much time to drink between each fight. Time Trial If you are planning on using this guide to complete the time trials, I suggest you print it out or atleast make sure all your members have read through it. You can get some really amazing loot from the timed chests so it is definitely worth trying. That being said make sure you setup assignments for specific fights ahead of time, mainly Akil'zon, Jan'alai and Halazzi. The postionings will be covered in each bosses brief. After you complete each boss in the time trial, loot quickly and release the prisoner (note: don't open the timed chest until you have finished all of the four animal bosses or you run out of time, this will save you alot of time). Move quickly and stay together! Our kill order goes: Akil'zon(+10mins), Nalorakk(+15mins), Jan'alai(+0) and then Halazzi (+0). You start with 20mins so this gives you a total of 45mins to kill all four bosses. Map of ZA: http://images.wikia.com/wowwiki/images/0/01/Za-map.jpg --

Akil'zon Trash: Ride up the ramp and dismount between the first two sets of gaurds. Keep close together and AoE down the adds when they come, melee/hunters single target down the casters. Once both casters are down move forward to the next set of adds, dragging whatever is leftover with you. If you are a healer or ranged DPS, stand to the side of the path so that you don't get insta-ganked by the adds. Once you have cleared most of the adds, pull the Tempest, this will stop the Eagles and Warriors spawning. Watch out for his thunderclap, it has a really large radius. Boss: Ok before hand you should have split your raid into 3 collapse groups. Group 1 usually consists of a Main Tank, melee characters and a healer. Group 2 consists of ranged DPS and a healer in each. Mark one person in each group to be the collapse point for Storms. Akil'zon will be tanked exactly where he is, the trick to this positioning and group setup is that at ~7-5secs before the Storm timer call a collapse. Each marked group leader needs to be setup as one of the points in a triangle around Akil, close enough that if anybody gets stormed then everybody is safe but not so close as to get everybody shocked to death if the storm comes late. Basically collapse before the storm, keep up DPS during and then spread back out afterwards. Once you get the triangle position setup this is a really easy fight. Note: make sure everybody is directly ontop of their assigned symbol, no attacking from behind for rogues and kitties during the collapse phase. Regarding Eagles, if you have a decently well geared Lock, just get him to either dot or seed the eagles. Alternately you can have a hunter kill them off as well. Or as we have found out lately, just ignore them all together and heal through it. Once he is dead, loot your badges and move onto Da Bear! Positioning Setup: Map Blargh! --

Nalorakk Trash: Most of this can be AoEd, watch out for the patrol between Eagle and Bear. Start the gauntlet by riding up to the cliff that Nalorakk is standing on. This will spawn a group of trolls, kill the totems and watch out for the axe throwers. Pretty simple, next come the two bears, have them tanked separately so that the -armor debuff doesn't stack. Hug the left wall up to the next pack of trolls, rinse repeat, next are two bears with riders. Once the bears get low on health they will spawn their riders, either kill them or CC them. One last pack of Trolls and Bear riders and you are at Da Bear boss! Boss: Pretty easy tank and spank, there are two phases for this fight, Troll and Bear forms. Assign each of your tanks to each phase. Everybody stay spread out to avoid multiple people getting charged. In Troll phase have both your tanks attacking from the front to avoid your MT eating a full Brutal Swipe. When he switches to Bear form, have your OT taunt and take over til it's over. Rinse and repeat til he is dead. DPS can just go full bore on this fight as the tanks will be piggybacking on threat generation, don't die and this is a simple way of getting 15mins to your timer. --

Jan'alai Trash: Ugg, the trash... Ok, so there are these little guys called Scouts that will patrol around as you are moving towards the Dragonhawk boss. We usually windup with our biggest spells (counting down from 3 so they land at the same time) to insta-gank them. At the same time if you have a druid use roots/feral charge or a warrior charge stun them. If they get free to a drum they will summon elite adds that just slow down your progress. AoE most all of the trash, except Flamecasters, either CC or MC them, can also spellsteal their haste buff for crazy mage fun! Keep Left all the way to the boss. Boss: Ok the positioning for Janalai is pretty specific but easy once you get it down. Split your raid into 5 pairs and toss a raid marker on one person of each pair. When Janalai isn't spouting bombs you will be in a five pointed star with your tank pair at the entrance to one of the egg areas (see picture). This is where he will be tanked for the majority of the fight, make sure your MT and OT are in the same pair on the bridge. We usually use a bear or warrior tank for Janalai himself and a pally tank for the hatchlings. Have a hunter MD to your MT and lay a frost trap where the Hatchers spawn. Everybody arranges themselves around Janalai and start DPS, when the Hatchers spawn, kill the farthest one first and let the other one start hatching the eggs. TO BE FINISHED! --
