The Addons Topic

As I'm sure many of you have noticed, we have topic called "Useful Addons" which is stickied, but currently empty. I initially planned on populating this topic myself with addons that I use and have had recommended, but haven't been able to get to it.

So, I'd like to ask for your help. If you could post a list of addons that you use and like, along with a link to where it can be downloaded, as well as a short description, I think we can get that topic off the ground fairly quickly. Thanks for your help!

I'll post my list as soon as I have the time (in between Heigan wipes right now, hehe).

Edit: Shi, you do know the Useful Addons has not only been stickied, but also locked, right?

I'll post my addons here, since the other topic is still locked, and a mod can copy/paste my list:

Atlas: A collection of instance maps with important locations such as bosses noted. Goes well with

AtlasLoot: An Atlas addon that shows what loot drops off of instance bosses.

BankStatement: Lets me see what's in my bank (or my alts' banks) anywhere, anytime.

BigWigs Bossmods: Hands down, this is the best set of raiding boss timers and warnings around. Make sure you get the Thaddius Arrows plugin for it when you do Thaddius.

CCWatch: Lets you see how long that sap, cheap shot, kidney shot, etc. is going to last.

ChatLink: Because being able to view items linked on private channels is much better than getting spammed with [CLINK:4238741237432167] messages from your fellow Leftovers.

DamageMeters: Let's face it, even the most humble of us rogues still likes to be able to measure his epeen from time to time. =D

FlightMap: Shows you flightpaths on the world map, auto-dismounts you when selecting a flight, shows a timer bar while in flight so you know how long you have to go make a sandwich.

ItemRack: Best outfitting mod out there at the moment (although ClosetGnome may be promising when it's finished, too). Must have addon for raiders dealing with multiple resist sets, stamina sets, dps sets, NakedWipe sets, etc.

MarsProfessionOrganizer: I like to be able to split my tradeskills into intelligent categories rather than have EVERYTHING lumped into "Leather."

Persistence of Chattiness: Remembers what channel you were last talking in so you can just push enter and start typing your next addition to the conversation.

PoisonMaster: Lets you set the number of flash powders and poisons you wish to carry at any given time, then when you visit the poison vendor, click "buy" and "make" to automatically restock.

ProTimers: Great timer mod, lets you set custom timers, great for reminding yourself to get that frozen pizza out of the oven in 12 minutes.

RandomWatcher: Records and sorts rolls. Great for loot distro.

ScrollingCombatText: The original scrolling text mod, and still looks better than Blizzard's copied version. Also make sure you get SCT Damage to put your damage into sct, SpellAlertSCT to put casting warnings into sct, and RASCT to put boss warnings into sct.

Titan Panel: Having tried a few info bar mods (InfoBar, fuBar), I still like Titan the best. Lets you see your location coords, money, ammo, item bonuses, etc., and stance sets is great for swapping a dagger mh when stealthed and back to normal weapons when destealthed. Titan addons I like are Titan Aggro, an aggro alert addon, Combat Info, showing your crit/dodge/parry/white damage at a glance, Auctions, tracking your current bids and auctions, and TitanBG, a battlegrounds mod that keeps track of your current bg score and puts up capture timers.

WoWEcon: Best price tracker mod out there, imho. Mouse over an item and it will show its vendor price, average auction price based on ACTUAL SUCCESSFUL SALES, and what it disenchants into. Uses central, non-Blizzard server and thus doesn't stress the game servers like crappy Auctioneer does with its infamous scans.

Poisoner: Adds an icon on your minimap showing all your poisons and sharpening stones. Left-click desired poison to apply it to mh, right-click to apply it to oh.

MobHealth3: Shows the current hps of the monster you're fighting--great on boss fights. If you use the standard target frames like I do, make sure to get MH3 BlizzardFrames. These are Ace mods and thus are very well-coded for maximum system performance.

oRA2: Ditch the bloated, frame lag piece of crap that is CTRaid and go with the lightweight Ace version. This mod will give you all the core features that you need as rogues, including afk checks, durability checks, resist checks, and MT targets. If you like having CTRaid frames up so you can see the health of your raidmates, get sRaidFrames, or if you want a RaidStatus like window instead get XRS.

I think that covers most of the important stuff.

Yup, locked until I can get the initial list up. This topic will work for gathering addons until then. Thanks for your contribution btw, that is a huge list.

Stabby!! Pewpewpew!!!
Here are a few addons I use that I like and think fellow rogues will too!

Tick: This is an energy timer mod that has a bar to show the time until the next energy tick. I switched from EnergyWatch to this because this doesn't randomly disappear in 1.12 and it is fairly customizeable: the color size and texture of the bar can be fitted to your liking. It can be set to show only in combat, only in stealth, or always out. Text on the bar can also be added such as your current energy, max energy, number of combo points, or a countdown of the actual time until the next energy tick.

Natur EnemyCastBar: This mod shows the casting time of your target's spells, and can be customized in many different ways. I use this mod not only because of the spell cast bar feature, but because it can also track rogue stuns and diminishing returns.

I also use Nurfed UI which modifies the bars and player/target/party frames and mas many other useful features also (a hud mod, sct, and more).

All of the links have screenshots of the mods and further descriptions and instructions. Hope this helps a bit Smiler

Rogue Spam - Discontinued but oh so helpful at removing the blatent "You don't have enough energy" text on your screen. You'll still hear it from your char's voice, just not spamming the screen.

Oh man, no kidding. I was in Gruul's fight the other day, and that spam blocked the timer (don't remember which one; couldn't see it well anyway), which is when i made a mental note to find something to block that spam.

I found it doing a search on curse.com, and added it. Took about 30 min of testing it to add all the filters i wanted (ex. "You are faced the wrong way!" [paraphrase]). I love it.
Thanks for that post!

So how do you move the ready check button, from sRaidFrames or oRA2, off of your char's portrait? Just thought I'd ask

Autobar: its a great bar that works for all my characters, and has different class specific things it does. For rogues it gives easy poison application, right click for OH, left click for MH. Also organizes consumables, mounts, hearthstones, all that good stuff onto one moveable bar.

Hemlock: Its lazy! It buys flashpowder for you when you visit a vendor, and you set an amount of each poison you want to carry, and when you click the tab it buys and makes the poisons.
