Burn or Heal? |
I recommend Click 2 Cast over Clique. Clique was breaking for me quite frequently, often in the middle of a raid (nothing like putting cure disease on someone who needed to have a magic effect removed!). It has the same functionality as Clique and is an Ace2 mod. I have only a three button mouse and with ctrl, alt and shift, I've managed to bind all of my main healing spells *plus* all of my "decursing abilities" to my mouse buttons. I even managed to save the middle mouse button for those "special needs" abilities like levitate for Archimonde. Updated to this point. Thank you everyone for your contributions! We still have no recommendations for physical DPS type people. Isn't there a rogue/hunter addon that helps you in raids? :) Thanks! --

There's nothing in particular, honestly, although I use EnergyWatch and DoTimer, respectively Hunters, I would very much suggest ZHunter, Fizzwidget's Hunter Helper, and Fizzwidget's Feed-O-matic. Thel may have a few more to toss in. OH! And also one of my new favorite mods is Power Auras, which puts a large graphic on your screen for certain events. For example, I have a HUGE red exclamation mark that pops up if I enter combat without RF, an icon that means I have no seal currently running, and third icon that lets me know if I enter combat with Crusader aura active. And while I'm thinking about it, ClassTimer is a nice Ace timer addon that I've found particularly accurate. --

The mods I use as a hunter to help me in raids (some mentioned previously) include: 1. ORA2 - Extended raid info 2. BigWigs - Boss info 3. Omen - Threat 4. Recount - my damage 5. Quartz - Various timers 6. Sorren's Timers - Various additional timers. --

All the addons I listed are Ace addons. Generic Ace website is: http://www.wowace.com/wiki/Main_Page I use the WoWAceUpdater program so have no idea what URLs are used for specific mods. The updater just fetches them all for me from the Ace website. --

Recount is rather like WWS - it's a damage meter. It's one of those "preference" things. (direct DL link) http://files.wowace.com/Recount/Recount-r62259.4.zip SorrenTimers is like DoT Timer - it creates timers to track buffs, debuffs and etc. (direct DL link) http://files.wowace.com/SorrenTimers/SorrenTimers-r58056.26.zip Looks like ClassTimer is similar to DoT Timer and SorrenTimers - just customizable timers for things like HoTs, DoTs, etc. (direct DL link) http://files.wowace.com/ClassTimer/ClassTimer-r61768.6.zip I know a few paladins (and now it's been mentioned by a hunter) use Power Auras. It basically gives you neat little semi-circle around your character to display when something "goes off". For example, Rhaze uses his to show when Light's Grace and spell haste have procced. It's decently customizable for whatever you want to see.
