Greetings, What are people using to track their HoTs and DoTs? I had been using DotTimer, but it was last updated in Octobre. I figure it's time for a change! Please advise! :) I need one that tracks my (for instance) Rejuvenation on *all* targets, not just on my current target. Alternatively, I need to track my Unstable Affliction on *all* targets, not just my current target. :) Thanks kindly! --

Hey Demon:) If you're an ACE user, SpellReminder has been my hot/dot tracker of choice. very customizable, and you can individually configure which spells it monitors or ignores.

I use one of the corners on Grid to keep track of my renew. It would be more difficult if I had more than one HoT to keep track of, but I can keep track of my one pretty well there. In fact, as it starts to get near being done, it turns from green to yellow, and the last tick is red. This is a relatively new addition to grid. I love it ;) |

Grid is frickin amazing. I use it for similar Renew tracking, as well as Prayer of mending, so I can see who currently has it, and when it's dropped off completely. I have PoM Tracker, but find that grid is just as good for watching it bounce around. --

I will have to investigate this further when I have a bit of time. I am very pleased about the developements that have recently been added. The renew change, adding pets (that one is huge for me) and now PoM tracking!!!! |

Grid will track just about anything you want it to. I don't have all the ad ons for it, but have been told it can tell you not just that the tank has renew on him, but how many applications of it. I already use it to track: Druid and Priest hots( I see them separately) incoming heals, PwS. . .and the PwS debuff. Who has diseases and magical debuffs. Who has agro. Who is in range. Who is out of range. Who is dead.(who is just pretending. . .silly hunters! Isn't it embarrassing when you try to res them!) And other stuff I can't think of just this second. --

When I'm healing I generally don't look at what others are doing as far as their HoT's go. (I will look at it after an engagement through meters or whatnot to see if HoT's were being used by others, if that's my role in the raid) Adding the PW:S monitoring to my repertoire might be worth doing, though I don't tend to use that one much, mostly at the beginning of pulls, or on myself. On the whole, I'm not very good at configuring Grid (I suck at macros too). I need to figure out how to change how it does range. Right now, it's set at whatever the default is, which is too short, so I end up guessing too much and it's hard to notice when a tank or someone else i"m healing has moved out of range. EDIT: Just found the range tracker. I'm a dork. It was set to 28 yards for some reason. |

I love love love to know what other healers are doing. It helps me to make better decisions on where my heals are needed. For example. .if I see Dryarn has put her Hot (lovely sexy druid hots gotta love them) on one tank, then I will heal the other. Other wise I force her to over heal and waste both our manas. Or I might notice that No one is putting hots on the tanks and call over vent to get them up (heal lead here). Or notice that no one has a heal incoming on our MT and he has 2000 health. That one is usually. "Heal Dagris!!!" To me, the ability to see what other healers are doing is the most powerful function of Grid, other than the out of range feature. (No raid healer should be without a mod that clearly shows when folks are out of range) Okay also really fond of how it displays debuffs. Well that and how it tells you when folks get agro so you can toss a quick shield or what not. --
