The hardest part of Gorefiend is getting the constructs killed when you are turned into a ghost.

Here is a simulator someone put online so you can practice it outside of raid: http://www.variuse.de/feroxtgs2/

I know it's a while until some get there - but getting it down before you ever see the boss will make the fight that much easier :-) Besides, it's a rather amusing way to pass time.

Being married to a programmer is like having a cat. You talk to it but you're never really sure if it hears you, much less comprehends what you say.

It also helps a lot to have a target for assist from the last person ghosted. Technically the first person should have the hardest job. When you finish your constructs, go grab one of the next wave and just lance it down all the way. Right before you die use your shackle spell, and you help out the next person enough that they should have theirs down in a snap.
Thus, after the first 2 it's almost childsplay (assuming everyone knows what they are doing) on the constructs. At that point it's just a continued burn on the boss.

I have never beaten the simulator, it's ridiculously hard compared to the actual fight.

On the other hand, I haven't let a ghost into the raid in months in the real thing...

"The real problem was being able to stick it out, to sit in an office under the orders of a wee man in a dark gray suit and look out of the window and recall the bush country, the waving palms, the smell of sweat and cordite, the grunts of the men hauling jeeps over the river crossings, the copper-tasting fears just before the attack, and the wild, cruel joy of being alive afterward. To remember, and then go back to the ledgers and the commuter train, that was impossible. He knew he would eat his heart out if it ever came to that."
