Ready for Winter |
So, in my spare time, which admittedly isn't much, I've been leveling my paladin. Right now she's 61, and I finally got her the epic pally mount, which means I'm probably going to work more on leveling her. With a big push in the next couple of days probably. I was wondering whether the more experienced among you have any opinions about leveling holy (well holy/prot) and/or things I might be doing wrong. (note: I have a sorcerer cape now, no armory update) http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Silver+Hand&n=varvara For soloing gear (and healing gear, so far) I've been focusing on getting +spell damage, spell crit, and mana per 5. Other than more of those and more int or sta, could you think of something else I should think about doing short of respeccing. --

While my paladin alt, Ehlenia, is admittedly younger (42ish) I've been leveling her holy/prot as well. Granted, if you mostly solo you don't kill things as quickly as Retadins, but you are nigh indestructible while questing and in pvp and can tank/heal effectively for your instance groups. Honestly, having played several high dps classes I enjoyed the change of pace with a more defensive playstyle. Deep holy (as you are) can put out respectable dps for pre-raid content by stacking spell dmg/crit. As for doing something 'wrong' I'm sure others might have differing opinions but if you're enjoying leveling with that build and finding moving through the content relatively easy seems like you're on the right track to me. |

Mm, relatively easy is probably a good way of putting it. The demon/undead quests were, very easy. But I do admit I was impressed that I could, at 59ish, collect about 10 of the orcs for the Sedai quest and kill them nicely. Varv has the problem of being the 4th focused alt, and also combined with the fact that up until 57 (in either pre or post BC content) the best gear seemed to be green "of the eagle". --

Furry healer supreme |
I don't focus on spell crit that much since my bread and butter seal is SoR. SoR's proc doesn't crit, ever. The judge does, and Holy Shock does, so it's useful there, and it's useful healing, but my DPS set doesn't focus on it at all. My DPS set focuses and int, SD, and Str/Agi secondarily. White damage still plays a large part. I love the items that are Str, Int, Stam, SD, and MP5. Of course, Parmes is holy/ret not holy/prot. I can't get his talents because armory is effing up.
