Pretty sure you still want to make sure you have 5.6% reduced chance to get crit. (same as what 490 Def gives you) You can use resilience to help with this. Good link btw. --

Ugh, all that stuff looks really really expensive and hard to get. How much would getting that stuff made cost, do you think? I mean, I've got three thousand gold saved up in an attempt to get my flying mount, but if I really need to get some gear like that...

I'm not sure if this belongs here or not but I was wondering if there was any system in place for helping tanks get mats or gear for these fights? Coming from a really small guild with very limited resources I would be more than happy to start trading LOP points or something for mats to start crafting some of this stuff.

There was a way to buy crafted resist sets under the old LOP system, since they required raid mats to make. However, since the new resist gear does not require such materials there isn't a system currently in place for buying resist gear with LOP. What you can find in the community though are ways to help you get the gear: transmute spec'd alchemists, fishing fans/herbalists/miners with primals, blacksmiths with more nethers than they really need, etc. That being said, you can generate a lot of revenue from daily quests and watch the AH to buy what you need to have the items crafted or for certain resist items which are crafted to level up the skill and can be bought more cheaply than the cost of the materials themselves. |

well there's no reason why hydross gear would need lop.. everything is from non raid instances. however shadow gear for BT.. that will probably be LoP --

I accually have a pretty good spreadsheet covering the disire resist gear for FrR and NR - just need to reinstall Office and figure out how to post it online without having webspace heh.

You won't feasibly be able to get 490 def in resist gear. Need some resilience to make up the difference in crit immunity. All I needed were 15 resilience to chest and Gauntlets of the Iron Tower (stamina gems).
