Leftovers is growing in leaps and bounds, and to meet the challenges BC brings we as a group decided to usher in the Charter System for raiding.

The Charter System is now live! The first two Charters have been approved, and the Raid Calendar app is turned on. Here's how to use the system to raid with the Leftovers:

1. Add Your Characters. To add your characters into the system, click Raid Schedule at the top, then My Characters on the left. From here you can click Edit / Add Characters. You can add another character by clicking Edit / Add Characters again.

2. Sign Up For Raids. To sign up for raids, click the Raid Schedule at the top and click Sign Up For Raids. Check the boxes next to the raids you want to sign up for, and hit Sign Up. This will take you to the confirmation page. Read the creed of the Charter(s) you are signing up for to ensure you agree with their requirements, and then click "Quick Signup." A signup is a contract with a group. By signing up, you promise "If you slot me, I will show up on time and raid with you."

- Hint: Sign up for all the raids you are interested in, even if two or more of them run at the same time! You will only be slotted in one raid (the system takes care of that). Signing up for multiple raids will give you two chances to get into a group.
- Hint: If you are going to be late, enter it in the "notes" textbox in the signup. For example, if you cannot make it till 7:00, write "7:00-End". The slotter will see this note and can react accordingly.
- Hint: By default all of your characters will be signed up for raids. In the Quick Signup interface, you can deselect the characters you do not want to sign up using ctrl+click.
- Hint: If you are likely to come to a raid but not 100% sure, select Questionable.

3. Find Out If You're In the Raid. Some time after you sign up, you will be slotted and the roster will be posted. It is your responsibility to check and make sure whether you are slotted for the raid. It's easy to do. If the Raid Calendar shows a raid in dark green, you are slotted. If it's light green, you're on Standby and are required to show up. Note: this only works when you are logged in. You can also see an explicit list of your slottings in the Signups section of your "My Characters" page (hit Raid Schedule, then My Characters).

4. Show Up To Your Raid. When you've been slotted, show up at the appointed time, at the instance, fully repaired, with required consumables (if the group requires them).

5. Cancelling a Raid. If you find you cannot come to a raid anymore, go to Raid Schedule, then My Characters on the left, and click Edit Signups (in the Signups section). Now just set "Cancelled" next to whichever signups you want to cancel. Cancelled signups will still show up on the Roster until the slotter takes you out of the raid.

Please discuss and post feedback on the system in this discussion post.

The signup and raid management system you see here owes its existence to the testing, feedback and ideas of a large number of people, including Leads, Group Leads from the old system, and all of BR and the BR Leads. There are many individuals who contributed, too many to honestly mention here, but Krystan, Midi and Arianna in particular gave voluminous amounts of excellent input and design ideas. All problems, of course, are caused by me and me alone.

If you have problems using the system, PM Bleucheese and include a description of what you were trying to accomplish, what you did (what page you were on, clicks, what you typed), and what went wrong (with error message if any).
