Im very new to end game raiding and want to start collecting good fire resistant cloth. Is there any suggestions of what stuff should I be aiming for? Also what is a good value for fire resistance for a spell caster? Is their a good minimum value to aim for. Thanks Impe |

You're a warlock I believe I saw you mention? If you're demon specced then having your felhunter out grants you (and itself) a +60 bonus to all resists so if you're not in a main tank group that's a handy option to have. In a more general sense, these links might help you out a bit with some ideas for good caster FR gear: http://leftoversraiding.org/groupee/forums/a/tpc/f/829.../345100311#345100311 http://users.tkk.fi/~vsalento/wow/items/fire-resist.html To be perfectly honest, the higher you can get your FR (within reason, keeping in mind stats that you may be sacraficing to do so) the better off you'll be. Last week when I fought ragnaros my FR was in the low 300s (fully buffed) and I was able to resist most of the damage he tried to hit me with. That encounter aside, for other high fire damage areas of MC (the lava packs from geddon's chamber onward) I believe my unbuffed FR (wearing the appropriate gear) is about 180, and it does a decent job of providing me with protection against some of the damage being tossed out. |
