The Rogue Loot System

The rogue loot system an extension to normal LOP that we use here in Rogue Squadron. Its purpose is to make sure that participants can receive the items most important to them first without having to resort to point hoarding. This system is used in the Blackwing Lair, Ahn'Qiraj, and Naxxramas instances. It is not used in Molten Core an Onyxia's Lair.

If you are interested in participating, please submit 2 lists to this thread. First will be your top TWO priority weapons. Second will be your top FOUR priority armor pieces, items, trinkets, whatever. And be specific, NS/BF for an equipment slot is not an option. Be aware that it is not an option to include cross-class items on your list. These items are always handled via points roll.

These lists will be used in conjunction with the points system to determine who receives what loot. When a piece of loot drops, it will default to the person with the item ranked highest on their list AND the most points.

For example, myself, Jaerith, Galfuric, Rajin, and Somatra are on a raid when Dragonfang Blade drops. Jaerith and Rajin are tied with 55 points, Galfuric has 35, Somatra has 10, and I have 40. Neither Jaerith nor Rajin have the dagger on their list, but Galfuric and Somatra have it listed as their number one priority and I have it ranked as my number two. Galfuric, having the most points among the people with the dagger rated highest would take it.

For the sake of the person updating the list, please try to keep your updates to a minimum, by making sure that the list you post is REALLY what you want.

From the 10/12 changes topic:

There are now upper and lower point limits at which this priority system will cease to apply.

Above 60 points, a person will have free choice of any rogue loot that drops, regardless of priority. Of course, this person is also free to pass anything along, which I imagine may be likely as anyone above 60 points will most likely be saving for something.

Below -60 points, a person's priority list is null. Any loot that drops will go to other rogues in the raid before this person. Again, people can still pass loot to this person, or items can default to this person, it's just as if they have no priority list.

Also of note, the master priority list will only be updated once a week before the start of a new raid cycle. The exception to this is, of course, when a new raider joins us and needs to submit their first list.

If you are brand new to the list, you will of course not have anything old to list, so just write your priorities (and put the word "New" in parentheses next to your character name). If you are leaving a priority slot exactly the same, then you may omit that line entirely rather than type out the same item name twice. Here's an example of what a properly-formatted post looks like:

If your post is still here, your list is incorrect. Please read the first post of the topic and make a new post with the correct format.

PLEASE: do not abbreviate in your updates. I know things like BF Chest may seem obvious, but that extra time it takes to decipher can really add up.

In the future, I'll be ignoring any updates that abbreviate.
